Nurse

Welcome! My name is Taylor Balsama, and I'm the school nurse at Richard Stockton.  Our students call me Nurse Taylor. I am from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and I moved to New Jersey with my husband and our Australian Sheppard in 2023.

I have my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Old Dominion University. I started my career as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia. As a staff nurse, I provided skilled and compassionate care, and I served on several committees including the hospital-wide innovations council for research. I enjoy providing personalized care, and I received the Excellence in Nursing Award from the Children’s Hospital for the care that I provided.

I believe collaboration is key to promoting health and wellness, and I enjoy working with administrators, educators, and YOU (the community) to support our students at Stockton.
